Finger Play:
In my mirror, I can see

A tongue that pops both in and out

Muscles and bones that do most things
All held together with my skin.
Discuss functions of body parts & practice identifying parts mentioned in
activities.
Skills Time:
Me Book
Students use assorted materials to make a "self-portrait" for
the cover.
Using tempera paint, put each student's hand prints on a circle with the
following caption:
`
I have two hands & on my hands I have 10 fingers.
Will you count them with me?
(You may wish to do the same thing using footprints)
Add as many pages desired by asking the students their favorite color,
animal, toy, cartoon, food, etc. What is your favorite thing to do
with
parent or grandparent. You may have to do some prompting for younger
students.
Staple together or use brad fasteners. You may wish to laminate the
pages
to make them more durable.
